    Playboy Netherlands | Pijper Media, Full-Time

    In the 2014 my main focus was the reorganization of Playboy Netherlands and sell the magazine to a new publisher. After successfully creating solid EBIT figures, Pijper Media bought Playboy Netherlands along with multiple other brands (Panorama / Nieuwe Revu / Golfers Magazine) at the end of 2014.

    New owner means migrating the brands to the new publisher and my responsibilities got extended to manage a digital transition at Pijper Media. At the moment we are creating a digital infrastructure with all the basic needs for a modern day publisher.

    Playboy Netherlands | Sanoma Media, Full-Time

    Responsible for all content related activities of Playboy in the Netherlands. In short: magazines, websites, mobile & social. Being an Editor in Chief nowadays demands different experiences. Where back in the days content was our main focus, nowadays brand strategy & new business is a big part of our everyday work. 2013 was all about realizing black figures in a declining market, 2014 is set to be an exciting year under a new publisher with digital expansion.

    Commercial / Sales Manager

    Crossmedia marketing, concepts & sales | Sanoma Media, Full-Time

    Concepts, Strategy & Sales, in short we ran our own little creative agency within the cluster of male magazines from Sanoma. I created cross-media sales campaigns for a variety of advertisers e.g. Bacardi, COTY, Jim Beam, Nokia, Samsung, Sony, Warner and many more. We realized everything from central idea till execution, from advertisement till production off events. Personal favorites are the premiere of Fast & Furious 5 and the first ever commercial Facebook campaign from Sanoma in partnership with COTY.

    Sr Product Manager Digital

    After working at Panorama and mostly dedicated to print products I shifted to the position of Product Manager Digital. I expanded my portfolio with the brands: Nieuwe Revu, Playboy and James. As Product Manager Digital I was responsible for all digital activities these brands. During the last years I repositioned the brands on different digital platforms, re-launched the websites, managed the editorial teams, setup social media strategies, launched multiple mobile apps / websites and supported my print colleagues with digital integration in their marketing campaigns.

    • Maintaining and expanding visitors, pageviews and visitingtimes for all brands.
    • Initiate non-spot partnerships with multiple advertisers and partners.
    • Developing new-business opportunities.
    • Optimizing workflow and knowledge regarding print editors and print marketeers.

    After working for multiple Sanoma brands I started working at the biggest male magazine in the Netherlands, Panorama. A weekly magazine with a great eye for photography, long form journalism and excellent humor.
    As a Junior you're not responsible for anything but at the same time responsible for everything. Being creative, accurate, punctual, decisive, analytic & controlling aren't requirements but mandatory! Something that really fits my personality. Working at Panorama gave me the change to become an all-round marketeer working with the best Marketing Managers and Publishers in the industry.

    After my internship at Sanoma I continued working at Sanoma's centralized internet department. This was the "beginning" of the internet age for magazine so a perfect way to explore the company. I was responsible for setting up a support environment for all kinds of brand & marketing websites. Either in dedicated own support or outsourced support at companies like Lociga CMG / Cap Gemini. While working with these consultants I learned a lot about technique like the infrastructures around websites, identity management, .NET, different kind of CMS platforms and databases. After my Bachelore degree this was the perfect start / base of excellent digital knowledge for the future to come. After running support I moved more to project management and coordinated creation and launches of medium size sites websites for Sanoma key brands.
